5 ways to help your day run smoother.


It's a pretty well known fact that our lives are busier than ever right now. Ask any one of your friends, and can guarantee that they'll be feeling the pressure of trying to stay focused on your career whilst keeping fit and healthy, attempting to start/continue that side hustle you promised yourself you'd spend every evening working on whilst still making sure you see your Gran for tea, go on that date you've been putting off for a week and make time for your friends too.

It's no wonder that we feel the slightest bit stressed every tiime the smallest of things don't quite go our way. And so, here are a few tips & tricks to help your day run that little bit smoother.


Reduce the rush.

Rushing around in the morning isn't the best way to start your day, so thinking about the little things the night before can really help - such as deciding (and preparing, if possible) what you're going to have for breakfast and what outfit you're going to wear in the morning. This also means you may just got a few more of those oh so important extra few minutes snuggled up in your duvet.

Plan your meals.

Planning your meals not only means that you're making sure you will get all the right stuff inside you to increase your concentration, productivity and wellness, it also means that you'll be more organised, and meal times will take up a lot less time. It will also reduce the risk of you getting home from work, having thought about exactly what you want for dinner all day, to get home & realise you don't have any of the stuff you need in your flat. The. Worst.

Schedule in your fitness/exercise.

Fitness and exercise isn't just good for your physical health, it can do wonders for your mental health too. So, whether you've found a lunch-time gym class, you enjoy a morning run, or simply just a walk around the block after work - schedule in some exercise during your week like you would any other meeting. Put it in your diay and stick to it like you would any other meeting!

 

Declutter.

Whether it's your inbox, your desk, or your home - spend 10 minutes a day tidying or decluttering something and you'll find it can really help with your productivity mood. The physical act of decluttering a space can help "declutter" your mind at the same time and get re-focused, leading to clearer thought processes and - hopefully - getting your to-do list ticked off quicker!

Don't forget to breathe.

It happens. Things get stressful, and sometimes there's not much you can do apart from just take a few seconds to stop everything, take back control of your breathing and refocus. This little trick can be what stops everything from getting on top of you, and it really helps, trust us.
