WELCOME TO THE GIRLS IN WORK BOOK CLUB.
Hello! We hope you've all had the most magical Christmas and are as motivated and inspired for 2019 as we are. To kick off the new year, we thought we'd launch with something a little fun; and so, welcome to the Girls in Work Book Club.
The idea is simple; we announce the GIW Book of the Month at the beginning of every month on our Twitter, Instagram, or in our Newsletter (so make sure you're following us on our socials!), and then, for anyone who wishes to join, we will host a Twitter chat at the end of the month discussing all of our thoughts and reviews using the hashtag #GIWBookClub.
You are more than welcome to use the hashtag throughout the month as you read through the book to discuss any particular points (just don't jump on the hashtag if you don't want any spoilers!).
Then we will post a full review here on girlsinwork.com on the 1st of the following month, and launch into the next month's book club at the same time.
With us so far?
Each book will be relevant to the content here on GIW. It will be career focused, inspiring, empowering, motivating, and filled with all of the girl power you could ever need.
You don't have to join every month's book club (we know how much life can get in the way, sometimes), and so feel free to drop in and out as much as you need, but we would love to create a community for book lovers and hopefully this will help us to lead those discussions and debates about the important stuff, too!
And, just as a little extra bonus, we will be running monthly giveaways of each month's book throughout the year. These will run for the first week of each month, so that we can hopefully get the book to the lucky winner in time for the reviews.
Speaking of girl power, we couldn't resist kicking off our Book Club with What Would the Spice Girls Do?: How the Girl Power Generation Grew Up by Lauren Bravo.

All of our love,
The Girls in Work Team
